Written in April 2023 for Flute, Clarinet in Bb, Violin, and Cello, this set of character variations on Chopin's Nocturne Op. 15, No. 4 was an assignment on theme and variations given by Professor Castro at Chapman University to be performed by Hub New Music. The variations are grouped in two sets of three, with the first three variations being unserious and "silly" in character, and the last three being serious as well as seamless.
